I stand corrected. I cannot find the information/article on which I based that previous statement. I will continue to look for it, but for the moment I will accept that.
However. Australia does have a significant pegmatite hosted Niobium source in the Brockman deposit and therefore does not rule out the efficacy for that kind of host rock source. Wabli Creek is indicating signs of a rare NYF pegmatite system of Columbite/niobite which would make it very rich in the mineral.
They don't sell pyrochlore, it's true... But they do mine it and directly refine and process it into Niobium and ferroniobium products and sell it on as a one stop shop.
