D13 has been selected to participate in this year’s Black Dart exercise, testing its MesmerTM system, in September.
Black Dart
Department 13 International Ltd announces today that it has been invited to participate in the US Department of Defense “Black Dart” exercise.
The Black Dart exercise, classified until 2014, is a combination of technology demonstration, test and evaluation, and exercise. It allows the US Defense Department to gauge the capability of counter-drone systems in a wide range of scenarios.
Black Dart will allow Department 13 to benchmark MesmerTM’s capabilities in a more convincing way than the one-off demonstrations provided to the DoD until now. This selection by the DoD reflects the seriousness with which the DoD is engaging with D13.
Jonathan Hunter, D13 CEO said “This is a significant opportunity for D13 to demonstrate its MesmerTM system to a wider range of interested parties in the DoD and other government agencies, and facilitates an exciting range of test scenarios against which we can show off Mesmer’s capabilities. We will be able to test our system against a much wider range of tactical and operational scenarios which will demonstrate the inherent flexibility and effectiveness of MesmerTM.”
