rain - flood issues
rain - seems to have passed with wet areas drying up
flood - is water moving through the Nappamerri bridge area into the coopers creek. This is currently peaking but has/is putting a lot of water into the north area of SA (and right into VPE permits). Therefore some areas are affected.
non-flooded areas will have road access back in May if in the south and then June as you move north. Some flood areas with large creek crossing may not have road access until September or later.
Seismic surveys especially 3Ds - these are a different animal since they rely on a broad areal access not just a linear road. Low lying areas will take a long time to drain/evaporate and some areas will have trapped mud under a dry surface layer. For big heavy trucks and vibrators this will severely restrict access. How long will it be before seismic is shot? The Aquillus 3D may be the test case for this but my guess is more like October than May.
