however throwing gold (literally!)around doesn't ensure "super human performance" and sorry for a "base" salary of 1/2 mill per annum then to throw 1.5 mill rights over 3 years into that - just a tad too absurd!!!
If the board/share holders want to be generous that has to be performance based and will require achieving bench marks.
By all means give him option rights - but make it 50% of what we all think the SP of the company should be at the end of each of his years of tenure!And I think 100k for each year is more than plenty! Otherwise we'll end up like CBA and Telstra with millions in golden hand-shakes to pay!!!
My understanding of the Corporations Act is that at this point in time Share Holders have a NON-BINDING vote on remuneration reports.
