Unfortunately, emails alone are unlikely to be sufficient evidence. Depending on the content, they might offer avenues of other investigation, but not as primary evidence.
The problem being, they are too easily faked. At the very least, you need the original email complete with full headers. There are ways to gauge the authenticity, but they all require logs from servers to match data in those headers, or the sender's own computer, all of which would unlikely to have been kept for this long
