I think you have to consider the circumstances of what happened.
PT and Sentient discuss and put in place measures re the acquisition of Rincon (ADY's Jewel in the crown). Nothing is said to shareholders.
Shareprice destroyed over the next two years due to "an unfortunate set of events", (remember Blumberg brought on board?).
Sentient acquires Rincon for firesale price, sale now deemed necessary, lucky old Sentient. Alan You Lee, (ex Deloitte) no doubt delighted.
But then you could be right Pengui, maybe PT really did work in our interests, and was just extremely stupid and unlucky.
Shame he seems to have effectively disappeared. Everyone seems very touchy on the subject, not least Maria, Prior, and Sentient.
