    re: shell Something to consider:

If you take erinne's post at face value, then Shell's reason for saying no is that they ran out of time to complete their analysis. The terms of the agreement were such that Shell had to provide a clear answer, and in the absence of the complete analysis they said 'no'. There is an alignment between that pupported statement and the FAR announcement that says it will receive the CSEM data/analysis any time between now and 21 Sept. ie Shell said "We still have a few more weeks work to do - you will have to wait...".

So with the initial agreement now over, FAR gets some cash, access to the data, and is free to negotiate with whomever it wishes.

Here is the important bit: the list possible suitors does not exclude Shell. They could complete their analysis over the coming weeks and be subsequently positioned to say "Yes" to FAR. The only difference is that this time it would not be an exclusive negotiating position - they would be evaluated against other potential suitors.

    It's just a thought...

    Cheers,

    Disco.
