re: showdown well Yogi that means you are analysing the medium to long term future of the stock, which traders should not do. Doing that is an investor's strategy, a Buffet like attitude. I personaly pay some heed to technical analysis but I am not prepared to place all my faith in it. If it was foolproof and worked in isolation then no one would bother with anything else. I think it is another lot of info to be digested by the savvy investor at least for the purpose of it will tell you what all the T/A traders will do and they have an effect on the market short term anyway.
