re: showdown
Well stanroc my boy, thank you for your well wishes and positive commentry. You just hurt me to the quick, am seriously considering giving it all away now after your expert advice.
However my boy, for a guy so knowledgable, you seem to sadly forget how much money can be made shorting markets, as well as going long. Wish to hell I WAS in the market during the tech wreck!
Most of my good trades have been shorting this market mate, I'm a trend trader. I'll happily compare my portfolio with yours for the last 12 months, even including the losses I made in stocks trying to trade fundamentals.
Now, as for your vast experience, what does that tell us?
a) You're getting long in the tooth.
b) Perhaps you have had 25 years experience
c) Perhaps you've done well.
d) Perhaps you're a slow learner.
Or most likely:
e) You've had one year's experience 25 times, like a lot of other 25 years experience guys I've met in other walks of life.
And mateyyyy, my goal in anything I've taken on in life is not to be the average! And mateyyy, I don't blame anybody else for failures and definately do not accept them either. Perhaps that's why I've done ok so far? Nobody gave me anything to start with, except good advice and encouragement.
As for the meeting on 20 years time, sorry but I think I'll give it a big miss. I don't waste my time with negative thinkers, it's a sure fire method of losing and one thing I don't waste my time with...is associating with losers.
The futures traders on this forum all post their trades, at (or before) the time they make them, and if ever you got your head out of your pompeous arse for 5 minutes and read their posts, you would know that most are doing pretty well.
They are also happy to assist others who are interested in different methods too (and please note I typed that very slowly because I doubt you know the meaning of it)
Bai baiiii.
