TonyWAIW, what makes us think that Philips/POC1 would specify M&G or ADO as the secret sauce in their device? I would think a major release of this type will be to the accompaniment of great fanfare, and specialist marketers will skillfully present the device as POC1's technology, no details revealed so don't ask, just look at the benefits and place an order,thank you. Buffet table is this way.
I think it is important to remember ADO is dealing internationally, and there are important and subtle cultural differences to account for in negotiations. We are dealing with countries across the globe now, with a very small team. For example, just think for a moment of the last Dutch person you had a disagreement with, and then the last Japanese person with the same scenario. Do you think you can just apply the Aussie way across the board with all these differences? I haven't even mentioned corporate structures and personalities. It is a huge task and it somewhat perplexes & amuses me that some posters (not you Tony btw) seem to think it's like negotiating for a new car, get in there, be tough, etc etc. It is just not realistic to think like that imo, and doomed to failure if tried.
Regardless, if the market is that sensitive and under informed, and the SP takes a dive, bring it on, baby, bring it on. I'll be selling my socks to load up at ridiculous prices. My children will say to me in the not too distant future, " how did you get it for that price Dad? You're a genius". Oh look, now I've given my gender away!
I don't want to imply that your research needs a bit more work, but if you've even only read the last site visit posts surely most ppl would understand that this is a PLATFORM technology. Peter Fred put it nicely in another thread with an analogy of skirmishes being won. Sure we all want POC1 to cross the line but it must be obvious that that day is fast approaching.
And even if not, there is so much else happening that is bringing ADO ever closer to spectacular fame and our fortune, that the naysayers, technological dilettantes, and nervous Nellies need to all go to the closest bar and chill out. Relax, mate, it's all good. The tide is turning imo and whether it's in the next 6mths or 2yrs, it will happen. Soaking it up on weakness is what I'll be doing.
On another note, there has been discussion about multiplexing, this was a point at the site visit. I think Emma demonstrated the vastly improved signal to noise ratio enabled by M&G, and also pointed out that this could be multiplied by up to 8 different tests/results per chamber in the Elisa microtitre tray. So that will give you an idea of the power of this technology. Fellow site-visitors correct me if I'm wrong please.
Regarding acquisitions, imo it's a fine line that Geoff's treading. We need to be ready to be all systems go, Virgil, when the T-Birds' engines fire up, yet not acquire a lemon just for the sake of it. That is exactly what he is doing on our behalf - finding a target that is cash-flow positive and fits nicely into our production needs. It's been mentioned that Shaun is headed over there, the conclusions should be obvious. If it comes off that will have a fantastic effect on our street cred from the European markets' perspectives, and if not, Geoff will keep looking while the team ramps up back home to meet demand in the interim.
Really, what's not to like? All the obtuse comments of negative vibes, oh I thought this would happen back when..., and such like are just vacuous distractions. You'll notice there's never any substance in such posts and I leave them off ignore for the sole reason that it's an intellectual challenge for me to guess if or when there ever will be.
I doubt it though.
