Based on the post by @aneeso , it looks like there's a US$9000/t price difference between 99.5% and 99.99% grade lithium carbonate. It would change in the future but lets use those numbers.
It would be interesting to see if the costs involved for upgrading 99.5% --> 99.99% are less than US$9k/t, and whether many/most of the producers of these batteries even care about the effects/impacts of the additional impurities that may or may not affect battery performance.
I hold both PLS and GXY, so am diversified on the brine/spodumene front, and wish both well.
