Not sure what your explanation is for the fall accompanying the CR announcements?
I usually pooh hah the manipulation and conspiracy theories.
However in this case I believe the huge sudden dip is more than just a gross example of the failings of the "rational market".
Much of the market tends to hold back buying in the lead up to a CR until they see where the bottom will be, and sure this in itself generally causes a dip. However it also creates an ideal environment for any manipulating opportunists to both feed this, then feed off it, esp if they are able to access a cheap placement.
Not sure how much you thought before you posted.
