    gyro, when someone is "terminally ill" as you put it, and they might be in great pain, the hospital, through the doctor and relos, applies a little clock injection which injects a certain amount of morphein at regular and exponential closer time spans until the patient dies. It's an easy slide into sleep, rest and death.
    But I don't think there exists a method of administration of a SINGLE INJECTION. Too brutal, too quick and too unnecessary. This way, (sometimes this system lasts quite a few hours) people can change their mind, have time to come and say a final good bye etc.
