Interesting, longhair. Always wondered why they chose not to pursue actions against the Indonesians. Fact is, Alkatiri is on the nose with Australia and the US, and apparently with a fair whack of the E.Timor population. He should stand down and a new election be held. The current govt is obviously not working. As far as his connections with China go, yes, they are breathing heavy over the Solomons, and we dont really want them on our northern doorstep if we can help it. ETAN blames Australia for E.Timor poverty by claiming we have withheld billions in oil and gas revenue from them that are rightfully theirs. I dont know about that. As far as Papua goes, yes, action is needed there, but if we tried to get involved it would lead to full-blown war with Indonesia.
Dunno what the anwer is, but I bet Indonesia is laughing at us..........
