I dont wish to dampen anyones expectations on Sino`s reapplication for 100% ownership MMX.The Federal Treasurer and F.I.R.B.have made it abundantly clear and if I recall correctly the previous Federal Government had a similar policy regarding Foreign Investment in this country and in this particular case, the resources sector. While the Government welcomes foreign Countries to invest their monies here that monies should be invested in NEW Ventures so that our country receives maximum benefits from those dollars being spent. In the case of Sino obtaining total ownership of MMX, I think this particular operation could be viewed as an alredy established mining venture.I am certainly aware of Sinos success with gaining approval to take Midwest out(thankfully Murchison`s bid failed),however I am not aware of what status Midwest was assessed I.E. Was it already a fully operational mine when their takeover bid was first launched, thus settting a precedence.
