I dont doubt that what JG is doing is for the best. You wouldnt get many if any that would disagree.
How it was delivered is where the problem lies.
I find his comments contradictory (is that a word?) On one occassion he is saying cant believe the markets reaction to what he believed is a non event. Then he talks about how important the DFS is?
So its not important in regards to mentioning a delay, but basically the very viability of the company rests on it being successful?
JG is the spokesperson, earns the big bucks and leads this company. He will be subject to the good and the bad as long as he is in charge.
No different to overpayed footballers who can be hero one day, villain the next. Sure they all try hard and no one means to stuff up but he did stuff up. It was reflected in the SP. It was reflected in the sentiment.
I dont work in the mining field, earn the big bucks or am a leader of anything. However if I say something will be delivered at a specific time Im not ignorant enough to shrug my shoulders and give no explanation if not met.
Going back to earlier comment about footballers. At end of day if you rack up a 40 possession game, kick 10 goals and your team loses who cares? You're still a loser.
Until MYG start kicking some goals, get the SP moving forward then unfortunately we are all losing.
Lets just hope we have the breeze in the next quarter!
