A 200-day moving average obviously is relevant for time frames of 200 days OR MORE (not less). If at some point during the past 200 days, the stock price has absolutely collapsed by 90% or more (like LYC from a high over $1.60 to just $0.14 before Christmas), in a time frame much less than 200 days, then clearly the indicator is utterly and completely useless.
The 200 day MA will only turn up once the stock has well and truly recovered. All these "Bearish" indications are nonsense because they are based on inappropriate time frames.
When a stock moves as quickly as LYC has moved over the past year, any MA longer than about 30 days will be useless.
