I do like the concept of all-weather companies, but valuation matters too. We have had a long period of structurally cheap money that has bid up quality to very expensive levels. Now those conditions are reversing.
Some of the froth has come off YTD for sure, but I'm not sure it has gone far enough. I like to invest for the long-term, but it sure is difficult to hold on even for a couple of years if you pay too much and end up underwater.
