Almost all the people I know who’ve sold their vehicles have sold them through Facebook marketplace instead of carsales.com. They’ve said that there’s way more reach and replies through marketplace.
Long term, I think carsales would suffer due to the network effects of social media giants like Facebook. Recently, I came across a few landlords who’ve successfully found tenants through marketplace instead of REA. What effects would this have on REA, especially if people exchange property through facebook?
