The announcement today by GGP certainly does contain a fairly good indication of their expectations.

It doesn't take too much reading between the lines to get a fairly strong message - almost as strong as the pressure being found in the well..

And that is the first message -"Given the high pressure conditions of the borehole from the Miogyp sands and surrounding shales" .... Hint, hint !

Of course they just happened to think that they ought to "run and cement in a production liner..." ...... well that is always a handy thing to have in place in case you ever get around to needing it .

Then we have the indication that "a reservoir sand of 30 to 35 feet thick has been encountered in the Miogyp". Not unexpected but jolly handy that it can be seen as being of a nice thickness to be a "reservoir".

Oh and they just happen to conclude that the Miogyp reservoir is "a predominantly oil reservoir".....just thought that ought to be mentioned that it would be producing oil !!!!!!

And just in case you had missed all that, they happen to mention.... "it does provide a strong indication of a commercial discovery"

But they do want to emphasise that they are being CAUTIOUS.

Well - this is the discovery announcement you have when they would like to announce what they secretly think but still need to get official proof before they make that official .... WE HAVE OIL announcement

All in my humble opinion of course.
