I'd say it'd be that they're looking at what size pipeline, internal coatings required, possible injection lines, artificial lift possibilities, pipeline corrosion coatings, pipeline materials etc. You always have to design the infrastructure based on the pressure, temperature, composition, etc of your well. What style tree do they go? How will this affect the existing production line? etc etc.

I think you're reading far too much into a standard line.
