above article not bad, but I wouldn't stick to US too much as they can lead Oz into deep sh!t as well if it suit them
127 million people strong market to be developed up North ( finally you got good excuse to start producing something apart from wool, bananas and raw resources here)
plus strong independence at home is my vote (I wouldn't blink twice to pay my fair share for it)
as in East Timor case, US said "they got no interest in this region", was that also including Oz ?
for UK, Oz is still the colony
