Woodside boss Don Voelte has been trying to fast-track plans for a second and third train at Pluto but so far has struggled to secure enough gas. His drilling program in the Greater Pluto area has had only limited success while talks with the owners of nearby gasfields, including Apache Corp and Hess Corp, are continuing. Woodside is due to publish its second-quarter production report today, which will show progress made on the Pluto exploration front.
