Just because notices are posted does not mean that we have to accept them like a sheep with a head up its proverbial.
1. We have the right/question to ask why they are now considering a coal fired power station. Christ from what i know the nearest commercial coal fields are in Collie WA, a distance of at least 1,800 kms from Cape Preston. The Balmoral mine site is situated much much closer to an absolute plethora of gas fields. They provided no reason why they have potentially changed from gas to greenhouse polluting distant coal. Why didnt they provide an explanation for the potential change?
2. Perhaps Carpenter was correct when he said 15% of north west gas shoulod be conserved for local use. Christ arent we at least trying to put some more down stream processing industries in Australia rather than shipping
it out raw.
3.No explanation at all in the notices why the HBI has been deleted from consideration. There may be a very good reason , but they certainly have not provided any, not one.
I well remember last year when the then managing director was issued with a truckload of low priced options and some HC partipants queried this.
Certain board members strongly attacked other members querying the number of options he was issued and the pricing of such. They continually referred us to the notices.Shortly thereafter he resigned and a substantial number of his options were cancelled by the company. This of course was also in a notice issued by the company.
As shareholders we do have the right to question notices.
