no guidance for next quarter but i will provide the following for discussion, as these would be my expectations;
June quarter.
SA mines run 11 day fortnight
one week lost due to public Hols (Easter, Freedom Day -27th Apr & May Day - 2nd May & Election Day - 18th May)
SA Public Hols 2011
Leaves the quarter with 64 production days x 2,000 tonnes per day total x 4g/t head grade (5g/t is more desirable)= 512,000 grams x recovery 80% (85% is more desirable) 409,600 grams = 14,458 ounces
If they only achieve 1,500 tonnes per day then ounces would equate to 10,844.
I am leaning towards the 2,000 tonnes per day, because PLA never really provide any guidance in the past, but they did note production prior to Easter as almost 2,000tpd and that they expected this improvement to continue in the coming weeks (quasi guidance of sorts?).
So minimum would be 10,844 oz and maximum would 14,458 oz. The closer to maximum or if they exceed maximum then i would expect PLA to undergo a re-rating.
