ABY are cutting costs and still have earnings. Commsec updated their earnings estimates after the announcement to cut costs and they are are currently priced at a forward PE ratio of 0.5 for 30/3/10 and 1.06 for 30/3/09. I am topping up too at these prices but am not holding out for a div this year. (analysts expecting 1c div down from 10cents last year) - All info from Commsec forecast page.
but I think this makes a fantastic long term invesment given they have the backing of the Indians and can stay on care and maintenance for a bit until conditions improve. Can IMO be a $3 stock again in a couple of years.
