CSL is a $100 billion dollar company with plenty of liquidity which is comparable to other multi-billion companies but not really a micro-cap like MWR.
I'm not saying that a split is the only way but the lack of liquidity would definitely be an issue for fund managers even though we're probably a way off peaking their interest yet.
The fact is there would still be alot of retail holders on the top 20 list and by the sounds of it a few are on hot copper (im one as of last list) so realistically liquidity will only improve due to share price movement and that will most likely come from us smaller speculators etc.
im defiantly no expert on splits it just seems to make sense to me in this case.
