Agreed all looks good for IIN as the number 3 ISP. No more dealing with TLS would have to put a smile on Malones face. Be interesting to see how the numbers eventually stack up between naked DSL at say 5 to 20 Mbps and FTP at 100 Mbps. I guess the new NBN will have to be reasonably competitive else a lot of consumers would keep the slower service.
Bottom line is Govn't can finally recover from TLS disaster where they did not ensure structural separation before Telstra was privatised. Rudd govn't should be applauded for the vision, lets see if they can deliver.
I can't recall how many billion they got from selling TLS, it was probably about the same as they are proposing to spend on the new network $43 billion?
