I admit that ASX have been clearly been negligent in this instance.
Whether MTN were correct or not in their initial annoucement is irrelevant.
for the ASX to query MTN over an announcement over a week after the annoucement was made is negligent.
If the ASX were to have any doubts of an annoucement, they should investigate the matters before releasing it to the public.
