    I think of our strategy boils from the same thing kahuna - negative experiences. I really only started investing in the market around 13 years ago. My first buy was WOW at $2.82. Maybe the worst sell I ever did was WOW at around $3.40. The "success" made me think I was an investment king, and I promptly lost a reasonable amount of money (for me at the time) on most of my next 10 or so investments. Luckily I learnt, and have been reasonably successful since then (and had some fun too).

    I have two sources of investment funds - a line of credit (debt - which I am very careful when investing) and my own cash (a small percentage of my investments, but money I am happy to risk for higher returns). I wouldn't touch a stock like AHO with borrowed money, and any spec I buy I keep a close eye on to see if it is still a risk I am prepared to take.
