I have seen images of the open pit taken on the 25/1/2017 by an employee who posted them on Facebook. As the images were posted on Facebook it now becomes public.

I have not included the Facebook link (do a search and you will find); I do not know the employee who took the images; there are many many images of the Siana mine on Facebook taken by employees of the company, one just has to search Facebook and there they are in social media land.

In the images below taken on the 25/1/2017 I see a significant amount of water in the open pit, I also see no burns on the Northern side and I see a lot (a significant amount) of loose rock material leading down to the water line IMO; (see also RED ASX announcement dated 7th Feb 2017 about a significant movement of material).

The East view shows where the East wall failure occurred and was cleaned up in 2016.

The Southern view shows the ramp down to the open pit, no diggers are seen, no earth moving trucks also.

I noticed in the ASX announcement on the 18th April 2017 that "Notice will be given to the mining contractor to cease operations and demobilise equipment." I do wonder however what the mining contractor was doing for 3 months and where his equipment was.
