Except the banks have already been ahead of the game for several years and had applied a tougher stress test on mortgage applicants since then. Hell the last businesss loan I took out I couldnt believe the scrutiny I came under. It was like nothing I had experienced before. At one point I thought they would even ask me how many weetbix I have for breakfast it was getting that crazy. The banks knew this was coming. They are smart when it comes to money. Hell they are the ones still making massive profit through the GFC!
