I’ve been working as a property valuer for ten years, and the absolute pits of my day to day life is dealing with these sell outs. Becoming an agent is selling your soul, they all drive the same looking Mercedes, have the same fake laugh after every shit gag they make and would sell their mother if they could get 4% commission. Being an agent takes a certain persona, and unfortunately, to be successful as an agent you need to hype yourself up so much that most end up believing their own spin. It’s ok to put on an act in the corporate sphere, I think we all need to from time to time unfortunately, but it’s when you start believing it that you lose the big picture of what is really important, and that is being a genuine, decent human.
