I put most of it down to the fact that they are not taught better, or not taught at all
Just the same as an uneducated person will revert to profanity to win an augment, they revert to un professional methods.
All they are taught is "you must get the sale or get out"
The government is basically to blame due to their watering down of the license requirements and their lack of over sight, you must remember that in most States you can get a Real Estate License on a far track system. There is no requirement to have any experience and you can then be granted a license to operate a business and employ as many salesmen as you like.

I just disregard anything they say nowadays and basically ignore them.
I agree that there are some good ones but the are few and far between
