re: real estate views sydney! oh please Of course, what was I thinking, we have seen oil prices this high before? Comeon lets be realistic here. They (energy costs) have to reduce spending capacity and consumer confidence and yes that includes the housing market. Not to mention the inflationary pressure it puts on the cost of essentials. Wouldn't surprise me if the US kept raising interest rates and inflationary pressures also forced the hand of our own Reserve Bank on IR's mid year depedning on when the next oil prices rally arrives and how low it lasts. Good luck but I would play it safe, rent and ride out the commodity boom.
