The word that refers to the "stupid' bird (dodo) derives from the Portoguese word "Doudo"=silly....
The Nick Dodoni (Atomu??? OR Heremes???) emanates from ancient Dodona , which in Greek is spelled with the second "O' as omega "W".....DODWNI.....
So, Dodoni is the site of the most ancient ORACLE in Epirus dedicated to ZEUS.....
There, the Oracles were delivered from the tops of oak trees, the rustling of the leaves being interpreted by the priests........
My father's family come from there.....A village only 5 klm from Dodoni...
I have been there...A very mystical, eery place....If you ever visit Greece go there....Highly recommended;)))
