it seems that all of you are missing the point of this season of 'the block'...
Q: who is behind the block ?
A: real estate industry
(coupled with retail part that also DEPENDS on real estate industry)
Q: what is real estate agent's mortal enemy ?
A: lack of sales (no sales = no commision)
(they don't care if the prices are falling or rising...as long as properties 'MOVE' so they can get their 'bloodmoney' from idiots that buy and sell)
Q: how do you convince thousands of stubborn vendors to drop their prices to a 'more reasonable levels' (which will enable REagents to COLLECT commision and fed their spawn ?)
A: you use 'most watched show in the country' to relay the message: drop your prices idiots! we need to feed our children! where are our commisions with clearances of 30% ?
...that, and only that, is the reason for 'the block' to have ended up so embarassingly shamefull for everyone.
those contestants were made to look like fools, scott cam and organisers as well BUT the Real Estate industry is hoping to get the things rolling so they can COLLECT SOME COMMISIONS after few months of clearances being in the dumps ! ! !
and they are paying for all this so...you better dance scotty !
