It's all in the genes, you either have them or don't
If it is not your thing just sit back in a comfy chair with a nice red and watch
There are obviously other things that you are very good at and we are not able to be perfect in everything
I am fortunate in that I can make or fix anything BUT I have always wanted to play a musical instrument, guess what, I am resigned to listen to others.
You are not alone in your despair there are lots who have never been taught or don't have the genes to be a handyman.
I agree that the TV shows encourage some who shouldn't to embark on jobs, but the producers just want a TV show they can sell.
