One thing that I would be interested in your thoughts on is that the RBA said today in their 'Monetary Policy' statement that 'the scope to move towards a less restrictive stance of monetary policy in the period ahead is increasing'
To me this has several implications:
1) Bank margins will improve as BBSW decreases
2) Local credit defaults should reduce as rates decrease
If you look at the bank cycle overlayed with the RBA cash rate on average banks do better in falling rate environments.
Anyway I would be interested in your thoughts on how this will impact ANZ's SP
