As I understand the story - unconfirmed by the company - a number of people have been told in calls from the MD that the mining/trading results and hence financial position of the company are materially worse than the market has been led to believe up until now. People are not happy about hearing this news nor at the uncertain implications of the news. Maybe leaks of this 'news' was what caused the steep decline in sp seen already. Maybe we've already seen the bottom in sp. Only time and clarification of situation from the company will tell.
As suggested, contact some Perth brokers yourself and see what's being said.
