CHINESE companies are lining up to shelve plans for billions of dollars of investment in Australia's resources sector after Canberra's announcement of the 40 per cent resource super-profit tax. Acting quickly after the move by Wayne Swan on Sunday, the Chinese accelerated plans to line up deals in Africa, Asia and South America instead of Australia.
"It could also effect new commercial lending by China's major banks to the private sector for investments in Australia."
