I don't know if it will never happen as you suggested in your comments but you make some other valid points...the biggest problem is to change Builders mind set on using a single leaf rendered external construction wall and moving away from a double brick with a cavity used here in WA.
With extra costs involved with water proofing render....Eaves lining detailing...Roof tie downs...Lintels.
Here in WA with the Building down turn bricklaying teams are now a lot larger 3...4 bricklayers 2 Labourers
we can now get up to plate hight very fast using a face Brick with mortar.
