Hey Wassa,

We spent a little time in Sydney, but most in South East Asia.
Shanghai -China for a few days, Nagasaki - Japan, Busan - South Korea, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand and then Singapore for a few days.

I've never been in South East Asia, the two most interesting things for me were -
1- there is a direct relationship between the cleanliness of a country and its underlying wealth
(the better off the country is, the cleaner it is) - maybe this was a no brainer, but I had not thought much about it before.
and 2- in Hong Kong they still use bamboo for scaffolding, even in very high multi story buildings and apartment blocks (see below)


yep, all that scaffolding is bamboo, hand tied with a twine.
