ASX Weekly Chart Analysis

..
Although price action has been subdued in some sectors for a few weeks, price still appears well placed to breakout when the right opportunity presents, and trading conditions are favourable.
Selling pressure is low in most sectors (although some increased supply was drawn out in the miners this week).
The Financials and the Healthcare sectors in particular have been trading roughly sideways, potentially absorbing supply.
And both have been a drag of the Parent Index (XJO) for a while, holding it back to some degree.
It has to be said that both sectors still appear quite well placed to push higher, despite the markets giving a less than positive 'gut feel'.
When buyers eventually do step up and demand increases to some degree, the parent Index will likely start to catch up to the Midcaps (which are leading right now), and also the Small Ords.
