The XJO closed marginally lower on Friday, where some brief minor demand was shown soon after the open, then the market moved into absorption mode for the afternoon once the market came off its early highs.  
The local market spent the day without much commitment, pretty much 'marking time' sideways.
Price traded inside the previous bars range all day.
The fact the Index did not lose much ground on reasonable volume, does suggest an element of underlying demand remains present.
