One of the 'issues' that can obviously occur when you shoot 3D, and return DHIs are 'false' indicators. In our case one of these is a clear and identifiable bright spot above a well defined structural diapir. What gives me greater confidence that this is a real, 'unconfused' bright spot is that an increase in amplitude is observable given a distant offset. AVO analysis normally distinguishes a real or false bright spot (DHI). Having said this you would need to know other things to be 100% sure.
