It's insane shutting reliable and low cost base load power stations down before the replacement high cost and unreliable renewable power capacity is built. NSW is heading for severe power shortages and AGL is heading for huge losses. It's time the NSW government stepped in and took over the coal fired power stations from AGL's incompetent management to ensure the states essential power supply won't be trashed.
