But, technically, selling at $2.62 is selling at a loss. Unless the shares were gifted to the them or were part of an deceased estate, they would have paid more than $2.62per share.
If they are trying short the stock, then they will need to buy back the stock at some point in time. And until price goes well below $2.62, they are not going to realise any profit.
As others have said here, it would take a very brave (or foolish) person to be shorting this stock right now. Unless, of course, they had government inside information as to how the parliament will vote on the NBN ???
