If you are old like me, you will have read similar stories in relation to almost every new fighter, bomber, helicopter, ship and submarine. It's par for the course, media and antis love to spread tales of woe.

I can't recall an Australian defence spend that hasn't been criticized. You have to remember that it's a competitive business and every loser reckons they had a superior product, and there are plenty of armchair critics and lazy journalists that will spruike their story!

Nevertheless, I think we need some news re new business. That line about submitting "commercial in confidence quotes" has been in every update for years. It's about time they won one.
