Yes, the doctor does like the HTW device - if you have quoted him correctly, however he is not referring to the VCR device at the end of the quote - the HTW device has external connections too.
The fact is VCR's technology is good, if not better and further along in clinical testing than HTW's and finally VCR will probably get FDA approval first. HTW will therefore be playing catchup for a couple of years, by which time VCR would have again moved on.
